Senior Delivery Lead (Technical Program Manager) | Remote | Contract

One of The Select Groups top banking clients is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with a banking background to join their team in a fully remote, contracted opportunity. In this role, you will oversee 4 workstreams within their Data and Tools Delivery group related to a recent banking merger. Please review all the details below and apply today!

Job Duration: 12+ Months

Job Location: Remote (EST hours)

Interview Process: 2 Interviews

Project Details: 4 different workstreams to oversee for data integration projects

Major Initiative, each workstream is an individual project

  • Integrating originations data from legacy banking system due to a recent merger - Must follow data governance rules, data quality rules, and understand how to integrate with master data management, etc.
  • Loans Daily Data - Looking at loans data and what needs to go into different source systems, produce the daily data used for business decisions.
  • Standing up a consumption zone for general bank.


  • Requirements:
    • Experience as a Technical Program Manager within a financial institution, with previous oversight of technical implementations.
    • Experience managing enterprise data projects (Enterprise Data Platforms, Data Governance, Data Ingestion, Data Integration, etc.). We are looking for people who have experience working with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Stewards, etc.
    • Must understand regulatory data needs as a large financial institution.
    • Advanced knowledge of the SDLC.
    • Knowledge of end to end delivery lifecycle from system or data design to implementation.
    Day to day Responsibilities:
    • Strategic Delivery Oversight - Collaborates with technology leaders, enterprise PMOs, and product management to align strategic objectives and roadmaps to assigned workstreams within the assigned project. Facilitates quarterly and annual planning focused on delivery business value as outlined in objects and roadmaps. Advised technology leadership and drives adoption of enterprise standards and best practices across area of responsibility.

    • Delivery Execution: Owns complete delivery lifecycle (initiation to completion). Accountable for scope, roadmaps, and impediment management. Manages and governs the development and execution of assigned technology and enterprise projects / programs. Responsible for executing, overseeing, and communicating the delivery of these programs, driving results to achieve business outcomes. Leads cross functional development from design to delivery. Strategizes, schedules, and aligns resources essential for executing large initiatives and programs ensuring delivery of key business outcomes. Monitors progress and performance of initiatives and programs. Examines outcomes to identify potential issues, risks, and areas of improvement. Communicates recommendations to relevant stakeholders through reports and other documentation.

    • Project Planning - Defining Project Scope, Deliverables, Objectives and come up with project schedule
    • Project Execution - Ensure Completion of Deliverables per schedule adhering to defined SDLC process.
    • Stakeholder Communication - Ensure clear communication between Team, Product Owner and relevant stake holders.
    • Risk Management - Identification of Risks, issues and mitigation plans. Removal of impediments in a timely manner (ask about risk log, risks for the project)
    • Project Reporting - Monitor and report Project progress, provide timely feedback. Publish Weekly and Monthly status reports.

    • Delivery Operations, Process Compliance Standards: Evaluates opportunities to streamline processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency, addressing bottlenecks in the end-to-end flow. Implements best practices to drive efficiency and improve time to production. Partners with enterprise PMO as needed to ensure all projects meet quality standards and compliance including SDLC, Project Management Lifecycle, Agile Standards, etc. Drives standardization of delivery practices in alignment to enterprise standards and controls. Drives best practices, governance, compliance, and standard across delivery organization.
