This position is part of the Digital & Technology Practice Area and is an integral part of the firm's strategy in the Application Development & Management space. The Senior Business Analyst applies their extensive business/functional knowledge to small, medium, or complex web applications in driving requirement discussions for client applications and internal solutions. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for capturing user stories and requirements to enable the design and development of an application. The BA is responsible for elicitation and documentation of clear, concise, and accurate requirements via work session facilitation with clients and ZS subject matter experts.

Requirement Collection & Documentation

• Elicit and document clear, concise, and accurate requirements by facilitating work sessions with clients.
• Perform low level discovery to breakdown high level business requirements into detailed functional requirements.
• Collaborate with ZS Internal teams (Client Teams, Product Management, User Experience, etc.) to create BA artifacts.
• Create appropriately sized user stories; ensure appropriate level of detail is captured.
• Perform Gap Analysis on workflow, user stories and requirements details.
• Perform a lead role in defining the approach and plans for requirement gathering and traceability throughout the project life cycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams as appropriate.
• Understand client project/product business objectives, success metrics, and user scenarios. English fluency is required (both written and verbal).

Communication & Facilitation

• Lead/facilitate work sessions for business capabilities and functional requirements gathering.
• Excellent communication skills. Must be able to speak and write clearly, accurately, and concisely using proper grammar.
• Effectively communicate role of Business Analyst to client teams when needed.
• Engage and communicate with stakeholders as required during requirements definition, design, and development.
• Point of contact for conveying requirements to downstream teams to ensure accurate understanding and implementation.

Testing and Training

• Serve as a resource for input into product release notes, training materials, user guides, and other user-facing artifacts.
• Provide input to and other quality tasks within the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Management Info Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst eliciting and documenting functional requirements.
• 5+ years of proven experience working in a Business Analyst role for Agile software development.
• Understands business relevance of data elements and structure in requirements and application development.
• Proven ability to document requirements at the appropriate level of detail for the deliverable.
• 5+ years of experience working within all phases of the SDLC.
• 3-5 years of experience creating use case scenarios and workflow diagrams.
• 1+ year hands on experience using Agile methodology along with a solid understanding of Agile processes.
• 2-3 years BI/Dashboard experience preferred.
• Experience working with members of a User Experience team is a plus.
• Experience in a senior role in the build of applications in the pharma and/or healthcare space is strongly preferred.

Other Skills

• Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
• Basic knowledge of Figma (preferred).
• Experience using software development project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience using SharePoint.
• Experience working in a client facing, consulting environment is preferred.

ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
