Your Role

  • As automation engineer you design, program and simulate advanced process control strategies in chemical manufacturing plants with special focus on electronic chemicals
  • You develop work packages and manage external controls engineering contractors
  • Your job starts in early process development phases and ends with the commissioning and start up of your technology on site
  • You participate in continuous improvement efforts based on experience and data analytic results
  • You are able to grasp complex interrelations and to translate quality and system dynamics requirements into innovative and robust technical solutions
  • You are keen to manage medium-sized interdisciplinary, global teams of specialists. You find the right balance of doing and delegating design, coding and management tasks
  • You use your process systems engineering background for the design of control architectures in collaboration with process engineers and IT
  • You are used to acting flexibly and you can cope with changing conditions
  • You are curious and motivated to be part of worldwide, cross functional teams in development, project management and operational functions
  • The readiness for domestic and international business tripswill be required

Who You Are

Minimum qualifications:
  • Masters or Bachelors degree with equivalent experience in Automation/Electrical Engineering

Preferred qualifications:
  • Acumen in process engineering
  • Expert knowledge in modern, advanced process control technologies and experience in applications in process industries
  • Advanced knowledge in OT and DCS infrastructure design, software engineering and IT security
  • Experience inplantautomation programmingusing relevant tools,methodsand technologies, experience with SIEMENS PCS7, Allen Bradley or GE Fanuc tools
  • Advanced knowledge in fields of data engineering including data collection, transformation and propagation
  • Knowledge in application of safety analyses for the design of plants and life safety controls
