Job Summary::

Can people count on you to make sound decisions, even under pressure? Do you have a high level of commitment to your job? Then Kalamazoo Valley Community College may have the perfect part-time security position for you.

Duties include conducting security patrols; safety inspections; assisting students, staff and faculty as needed; monitoring campus activities as assigned; and other related responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications::

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office programs are required.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience::

First Aid/CPR Certification is preferred.

Prior security experience and one year experience in a position requiring decision making and following directions is preferred.

Physical Demands::

Extensive standing and walking.

Ability to lift and pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to walk extensively and climb stairs.

Work Hours::

Up to 20 hours a week, 8 hour shifts; primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays.
