About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00]

The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. This option is not available in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time.

Overview

This position is for an SAP Configuration Analyst supporting the SAP environment including multiple production & non-production systems. Duties include providing technical expertise for SAP systems including coordinating of releases, monitoring for critical system errors and performing critical controls.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coordinate production support and enhancement SAP releases for the migration of the SAP configuration and development through the entire lifecycle
  • SAP ChaRM setup and configuration to maintain a reliable transport path to the production environment.
  • Review & and provide a recommended implementation plan for released SAP security notes
  • Performing role and regression testing for SAP transports.
  • Perform semi-annual SAP auditing controls to maintain our high level of reliability and accuracy in the SAP systems.
  • Production Support
    • Investigate and resolve production problems reported with supported applications. Respond to Help Desk tickets and provide support to business clients.
    • Monitor and investigate critical SAP archiving objects errors.
    • Monitor critical applications and provide support, as necessary.
    • Work flexible hours and be available for occasional after-hours support.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer/Management Information Systems, Engineering, or the equivalent. In lieu of a Degree, 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to:
    • Experience or past participation in Company's Co-op/Internship program
    • Experience in SAP as a business analyst, configuration analyst or developer in ECC 6.0
    • General knowledge of SAP Landscapes
  • Highly motivated; experience in working independently with a high level of productivity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with people at all levels and with varying backgrounds.
  • Troubleshooting ability including analytical skills to resolve technical and business problems.
  • Willingness and propensity for continual growth, willingness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects. Ability to adapt and change quickly.
  • Experience in providing responsive and effective customer service.
    • Proven team player who contributes to team goals, encourages, and supports other team members.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and plan work, work on multiple concurrent tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Willingness to embrace application development standards and processes.
    • Ability to work in a virtual environment (working with remote co-workers using virtual technologies)
    • Comfortable with using standard FirstEnergy computer software - Windows, Teams, OneNote, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrated aptitude for using technology to accomplish work assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • SAP ChaRM Configuration
  • Knowledge of Data Dictionary, Workflow, ABAP Objects, and performance improvement
  • Unit Test Plan Development and Execution
