Overview

Reading Hospital is seeking RNs to work Night Shift on select units, offering a $12,000 bonus to qualified RNs.

Must have 12 months of clinical RN experience.

Requires a signed 1-year contract. (Internal candidates can accept a 3, 6, or 12 month contract)

Position is for 0.9 FTE (72 hours within a pay period), Nights 7p-7:30a.

Eligible Units - C1, C3, N2S, N2W, N3S, N3W, N5W, R3E, R3S, T1

*Internal and external candidates qualify.

N3W

Medical Complexity Unit - We are a 24 bed medical-surgical unit designed to treat patients who have both an active medical illness, as well as an active psychiatric illness. N3W staff work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary care team to provide holistic, patient-centered care.

N5W

Urological Surgical - We are a 28-bed unit specializing in a variety of general surgeries. Our diverse patient population provides the unique opportunity to gain a broad scope of knowledge. N5W is the perfect place to grow. We pride ourselves on growing new nurses from novice to proficient. There are also many opportunities here on N5W for seasoned nurses to lead and mentor.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
  • Deliver excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
  • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
  • Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals .

Qualifications

Education Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Experience
  • 12 months RN experience
Certification and Licensure
  • PA Registered Nurse License, BLS
