Merakey is currently seeking Full Time Registered Nurse [RN] to join Merakey in our IDD Division in Hummelstown, PA

POSITION DETAILS

This is a professional position whose duties include oversite of the individuals medical needs, working with group home staff and maintaining all medical records. A nurse in this position reports to the Health Services Supervisor.

Examples of work performed include, but is not limited to:

• The pre-admission evaluation study and plan;

• The evaluation study, program design, and placement of the individual at the time of the admission to the facility;

• The periodic re-evaluation of the type, extent, and quality of services/programming;

• The development of discharge plans and the referral of appropriate community resources.

• Maintain all necessary medical records affecting individuals.

• Training of house staff on medical issues/procedures

Requirements:
This position requires a Registered Nurse.

• A current Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License

• Completion of an accredited course for professional nurses

• Three (3) years post-licensure experience

• Hospital experience and good management skills

• Experience and knowledge of working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.

• This position also requires on-call, working with our call center staff after hours and on weekends

• In addition, a current and valid Pennsylvania driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on the work location.
