JOB SUMMARY
The Respiratory Equipment Specialist, under general supervision, ensures that all respiratory therapy equipment and supplies are clean, well-stocked and in proper working order.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Cleans and processes all respiratory therapy equipment and contributes to a sanitary and properly functioning work environment.
Follows infection control and isolation procedures, without fail, as they are defined in the policies and procedural manual.
Stocks and delivers equipment/supplies to their designated areas and contributes to an organized work environment.
Notifies the appropriate personnel quickly of any supplies received, all back-ordered items and any equipment shortages.
Stocks medical gas cylinders in designated areas in accordance with OSHA, fire marshal, and the joint commission.
Assembles frequently used equipment in clean and aseptic technique.
Continuously displays a positive attitude, encouraging teamwork and promoting positive guest relations.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Basic understanding of health care modalities, therapies, and equipment.
Ability to follow established safety, infection control, and isolation procedures at all times.
Experience with inventory stocking desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
