Your Role:
This posting is a field-based technical sales specialist position within Pharma, Biotech, Academic, and Government account market segments. This role acts as a strategic partner and conduit between research sales, liaising between the two organizations Applied and Research Business Division, and related stakeholders. Will also work in partnership with Commercial Marketing to launch sales campaigns to the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical selling support for the innovative life science workflows forthe researchfield and theinsidesales teams. Example workflows include Gene Editing, Microfluidics, 3D Cell Culture.
  • Research customers, identify decision-makers, educate prospects, and qualify buying interest with a sense of urgency.
  • Prospecting into multiple organizations via networking, e-mail, and using internet information sources to penetrate, profile, and qualify virtual and in-person meetings with key decision-makers.
  • Work closely with Account Manager and Office-Based Digital Sales in the development of strategic sales approaches.
  • Consistently meet and exceed quota in delivering optimal sales pipeline.
  • Deliver in-field training at regional sales meetings, based on schedule and topics identified in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Work with Sales and Customer Education Team, to provide feedback on existing and new seminars, including assessments of effectiveness and improvement potential.
  • Act as customer advocate internally through enhancing the information available to the Research Commercial Organization, Commercial Marketing, and other stakeholders related to customer feedback, competitive intelligence, market trends, the effectiveness of marketing positioning and tactics in the field.
  • Actively participate in the new product development process by validating market/customer requirements and providing the customer's voice to drive adoption of new products and applications via alpha and beta trials, product launches, product portfolio planning, and short and long-term segment strategy activities.
  • Support relevant conferences and tradeshows through attendance, interaction with customers and scientific thought leaders, and other speaking engagements.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Biological Science with 4+ years of relevant laboratory experience is required.
  • 1+ year experience in a customer facing role (sales, marketing, customer support, technical support, etc.).
  • Proven capabilities and skills in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, and time and territory management.
  • Demonstrates the ability to present technical, customer-facing seminars on scientific research topics and products.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize protocols.
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of innovation and collaboration.
  • Demonstrates the ability to implement and execute successful action plans that balance activities with customer needs, sales needs, and divisional needs.
  • Must live within the territory.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in Scientific discipline.
  • Prior experience as an Application Scientist, Technical Support, or Technical Sales is preferred.
  • SFDC or CRM experience to maintain accurate activity, contact and account information with ability to demonstrate an aptitude for technology.
  • Proven capabilities and skills in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, and time and territory management.
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills, written and oral.
  • Sense of urgency.
