Job Title:Research TechnicianDepartment:FAES | Plant Pathology

Conducts fruit (small and large), nut, and hop disease studies including but not limited to crop maintenance, treatment applications, sample collection and processing, and data collection, entry and analysis; supervises student interns; prepare field reports and coordinates formatting and distribution of Ohio Fruit News. Experience with apple and/or grape crop production systems is preferred. Travel to on-farm trials is required. A high level of time management and organizational skills is required. This position is located in Wooster, OH. Funds are not available to support a visa. A cover letter and resume or CV must be included in the application to be considered for this position.

Additional Information:

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor's or equivalent experience and 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Required Experience:

Knowledge and understanding of the scientific experimental process is required; ability to work with large data sets and a high level of time management and organizational skills is required. Travel to outlying branches and stakeholder facilities is required.

The salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
