GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Alzheimer Prevention Program (APP) and Center for Alzheimer Research and Treatment (CART) at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Massachusetts General Hospital are looking to hire a highly motivated Research Assistant I. We are dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias through our multidisciplinary approach to improved diagnosis and care, research (clinical trials and observational studies), and community outreach and education. This role will be responsible for engagement, recruitment, and enrollment of diverse participants into the APP cohort, an active registry of community members interested in learning more about Alzheimer's disease research, and participating in ongoing observational and clinical research trials. Enrolling a diverse cohort of participants is critical for these studies, and this position will require spending time building relationships with underserved communities in the Boston area to engage residents with the study and enrollment in our research registry. We believe that these communities must be centered in the work we do.
This position will also be responsible for administering cognitive testing and questionnaires to APP study participants. This full-time position may require periodic evening and weekend hours.
Our research group is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in STEM. We strive to represent the communities we serve; candidates from underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
