What You'll Do
Work with business users to understand the requirementsand translate into functional & technical specifications.
Work with the offshore team to transfer the knowledge onsystems, business requirements, functional & technical specifications.
Code and unit test as per the technical specification.
Support the offshore team with queries during development(coding & unit testing).
Liaise with architects, system admins, business analysts,testers, project managers, developers and business users to completedevelopment, maintenance and/or production support tasks.
Act as the first line of defense and single point ofcontact for all queries and production incidents during EST hours.
Provide support during QA & UAT testing and assistthe offshore team in QA/UAT defect resolution as necessary.
Provide go-live and warranty support for developmentprojects & production incidents.
Prepare functional & technical documentation on thesystems that are in scope.
Acknowledge and resolve production incidents and support theoffshore staff as necessary.
Identify and recommend changes (automation, improvements,etc.) to the system & processes that can add significant value.
Provide metrics and reports to support the work done indevelopment, maintenance, production support and documentation on aweekly/monthly basis as necessary.
Prepare detailed root cause, fix and lessons learneddocument to critical issues
Minimum education qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field.
The ideal candidate will have:
8+ years' hands-on working experience in Informatica ETL
3+ years' SSIS experience
Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Works well with onshore and offshore staff
