The Bankruptcy Case Manager plays a critical role in assisting clients and attorneys throughout the bankruptcy process. This position involves managing bankruptcy cases from initiation to resolution, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and providing support to clients facing financial challenges. The Case Manager serves as a primary point of contact for clients, creditors, and court officials, coordinating communication and documentation to facilitate efficient case management.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments of bankruptcy cases to determine eligibility and appropriate filing options.
  • Assist clients in completing necessary paperwork and gathering required financial documents for bankruptcy petitions.
  • Coordinate with attorneys to prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other required documents with the bankruptcy court.
  • Monitor case timelines and deadlines, ensuring timely submission of required documents and compliance with court orders.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, creditors, and court officials, facilitating communication and resolving inquiries or issues related to bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate records of case activities, including client communications, court filings, and correspondence with creditors.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the bankruptcy process, addressing questions, concerns, and providing information about legal rights and obligations.
  • Prepare and distribute notices of bankruptcy filings to creditors and other interested parties, as required by law.
  • Coordinate meetings, hearings, and court appearances for clients and attorneys, ensuring proper documentation and preparation.
  • Stay updated on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations, attending training sessions and professional development activities as needed.
