We are currently looking for a Relationship Manager to join the Academic Sales team based in Dayton or Cincinnati. You will manage a territory of academic customers with a strong focus on new business and revenue growth. You will be responsible for cultivating and executing a strategic approach to retain existing revenue and generate new business through the sale of additional products and services and new logo acquisition. You will have experience of Value-Based-Selling and will execute flawlessly on a higher-wider-deeper strategy with our clients. The successful candidate will be a resourceful, customer-focused and motivated individual with a high level of intellectual curiosity, especially towards the academic sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish strong, long-term customer relationships and cultivates new business opportunities
  • Maintain relationships with key decision makers
  • Commit to continued learning in order to lead with insight
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer workflows and customer value
  • Maintain high volume and high quality customer engagement through phone, email, social media and onsite visits.
  • Record client engagement and communication using Salesforce.com
  • Collaborate with all business functions

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or significant industry related experience
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar sales position preferably license based subscription services
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Experienced at working with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce.com)
  • Proven track record at managing, retaining and growing revenue while being accountable and responsible for sales results
  • Experience building and maintaining internal and external relationships
  • Preference for a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
