Job description
Sample contents of incoming drums and directs drums to the appropriate processing area.
Responsibilities:
• Inventory, sample, label incoming drums with appropriate process codes.
• Record weights, physical state, size and type of drums.
• Approve drums to be moved to the appropriate inventory area.
• Complete log sheets.
• Warehouse housekeeping, i.e. clean up, sweeping, trash pick-up and disposal.
• Stacking of inventory.
• Maintain inventory supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Associate degree in a science field or equivalent experience in a related field is desirable.
• Successful completion of Hazwoper training.
• Must pass the OSHA/HAZWOPER physical examination.
• Must have physician certification to wear respirator.
Experience:
• Two (2) years' experience in similar industrial operation performing inventory and quality control activities is desirable.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
Skills:
• Attention to detail.
• Must be well organized.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication,
• Ability to read, understand, and apply common operational documents, SOP's, manifests, bills' of lading.
• Ability to work independently with little to minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task.
