Job Description: Forklift position receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the Distribution Center.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Perform the necessary inspection of forklift and complete OSHA checklist

. Drives forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to plant to pick up items from several locations for shipment


* Replenish the depleted shelves by pulling the overstock from the riser to the lower level of racking for easier consumption

· Once new materials have been received; put away into the designated locations.

· Responsible for the cleanup and recycling of all plastic and cardboard discarded in the warehouse

· Location and retrieval of missing or misplaced inventory

. Use hand scanner to record and review pallet information


* Continued efforts to keep area clean and free from debris

· Responsible for the replacement of propane tank on lift as needed.

· Consistently deliver the best in customer service. As an employee, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with customers, visitors and other employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:


Education:
H.S. Diploma or GED


Experience:
Prior work experience in WMS a plus but not required



Skills:

Must have good organizational skills with attention to detail

Must be accurate and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to comprehend and follow instructions

Ability to assess and prioritize workload

Forklift, Reach and Sit-down


PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
Typical Working Conditions: (Describe environment including exposure to heat, cold, fumes, chemicals, allergens, mold, etc.)

Distribution warehouse environment that is not temperature controlled. Safety glasses, hearing protection, and seat belt are required at all times and work gloves are recommended. The noise level is usually moderate to high (90-105 dB range). Relative Humidity is on average 30% in winter and can be up to 80% in summer with temperatures ranging from 50-100 degrees F. Occasional overtime and weekend work required.
