We are looking for a Quality Test Engineer II to work as part of our Agile team focused on development of web based applications. As a QTE II, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining manual and automated tests and test plans for our web application, Sirrus. Sirrus is a user-friendly platform, allowing customers to easily draw insights from field data, create recommendations, work with their growers on crop planning, and make sound agronomic decisions.

Ultimately, our ideal candidate is someone who possesses strong leadership skills, knowledge and experience in the automated testing process, with a passion for process development and continual improvement.

Experience and Education

• 2+ years of experience is software quality assurance and/or development
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manual and automated tests and test plans ensuring the consistent and on time delivery of high quality software
• Cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices
• Maintain framework for record retention in order to support internal and external IT audits
• Assist with process improvement and compliance to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on a timely basis
• Work across teams to enhance quality functional testing by identifying and helping to implement initiatives that will improve capability and efficiency
• Be a strong advocate for quality in all phases of product lifecycle from development to delivery
• All other duties as assigned

Desirable Skills

• Understanding of QA methodologies
• Knowledge of and the ability to implement continuous process improvement
• Experience with TestCafe
• API testing experience with Postman or similar
• Experience with virtual collaboration in Confluence or similar
• Experience with software development tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or GitLab/GitHub
