Your Role:

The Quality Systems Technician at EMD Electronics, at the location of Allentown, Pennsylvania supports daily implementation of procedures and processes to support the overall quality assurance plan and policy.

  • Complete tasks for notifications, include routing, return/analyze products and dispose non-conforming material.
  • Complete first article inspection and containment activities.
  • Acquire and send information to vendors relating to quality issues.
  • Manage sitewide tool calibration program.
  • Support the ISO 9001-2015 program.
  • Support internal audits and systematic site audits.
  • Provide general support for the manufacturing, and quality teams in the form of problem solving and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in working in a quality control environment in a manufacturing facility.
  • 3+ years of experience as a quality audit coordinator, quality assurance specialist, or related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or higher; room for advancement.
  • Detail orientated.
  • SAP or similar ERP system experience.
  • Excellent documentation, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform risk analysis and corrective action plans, experience with material disposition.
  • Operational expertise in Microsoft application.
  • Available to work overtime as needed
  • Available for travel (10% or less) for cross functional training/local customer or supplier support
