Responsibilities

Position summary

The Quality Programmer II will be responsible for developing and maintaining inspection programs using customer drawings and specifications to ensure compliance to customer requirements and have extensive knowledge of dimensional metrology.

Essential Job Functions

  • Program various precision testing equipment including but not limited to Tool Scope, CMM, Vision Systems
  • Devise fixture concepts and participate in gage and fixture development
  • Perform basic maintenance of inspection equipment
  • Implement and analyze artifact checks for various precision testing equipment
  • Gage R&R analysis using Minitab
  • Identify and implement inspection methods and equipment to reduce cost and improve productivity
  • Perform key responsibilities of a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician and Sr. Quality Technician.
  • Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 7 years of experience in a quality assurance role
  • Advanced knowledge of inspection equipment uses and maintenance
  • Advanced GD&T
  • Advanced understanding of precision testing equipment software
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills
  • Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
  • Ability to use a microscope and hand tools
  • Interpersonal and team building skills
  • Technical writing skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Desirable Criteria & Qualifications
  • Two-year technical degree
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001/13485
  • Quality training/certifications

Physical & Environmental Demands

Cretex Companies may use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.
