Job Summary

This position is responsible for the establishment, audits, and improvement of the quality systems within the facility. Maintaining a high level of quality of our products and services will demand an adaptation to customer expectations. This should be one of the prime objectives of the Quality Supervisor. The position is also responsible for the assurance of incoming quality through supplier quality audits. The Quality Supervisor will liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the QA system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, they will advise on changes and implementation of changes as well as provide training, tools, and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.

Standard hours of operation Monday - Friday 40 hours a week, with occasional overtime and or weekend work as dictated by the business. Travel requirements for this job less than 15%.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Supervision, team development and mentoring of quality control (QC) technicians.
* Maintain quality records including, manufacturing sheets, QC data, calibrations, and outside services reporting.
* Monitor process conditions and process corrective actions; in addition to partnering with Engineering Dept. in developing and implementing quality control specifications and standards.
* Maintain QC testing equipment and perform troubleshooting as needed.
* Support Manufacturing, Quality, Sales and Operations functions.
* Host audits from third party certification bodies (ie ICC, NSF, UL, FM)
* Maintain and execute the internal Quality Standard Manual
* Responsible for MDI/SQDC/5-S boards are updated, and improvement is followed through with to completion.
* Lead, maintain and process all Quality Concerns with customers, operations, and sales.
* Participate in Annual Improvement Process planning.
* Test finish products and incoming raw material, inspect in-process material, review batch tickets, process RMA & NCR and make disposition.
* Investigating QC issues by talking with customers, vendors, examine retains, records, batch tickets, field samples, etc.
* Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

In addition to standard office environment, this position involves work in a manufacturing facility and job sites typical of the construction trade.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

* Data Analysis: SPS/SQC, Control charts.
* ASTM test methods and procedures.
* Leadership Skills.
* Familiarity with all testing equipment.
* Understand manufacturing processes.
* Ability to analyze and solve problems.
* Six Sigma methodology and continuous improvement.

* Ability to interpret CAD drawings, Schematics, or Formulas.

Education and Experience:

* Required:

* Bachelor's degree in related field

* In lieu of bachelor's degree, HS Diploma with four (4) plus years of related lab experience.
* Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
