SUMMARY

Provide process support on Value Stream Teams while assisting Quality Engineers with compliance to Company Quality initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify that all company processes, parts and documentation comply with the Company Quality Manual and ensure that when discrepancies are found, proper corrective and preventive action steps are taken
  • Investigate internal and external customer complaints and ensure corrective and preventive action steps are taken to solve the root cause of the problem
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics and progress toward quality goals
  • Audit areas to ISO 9001 and TS 16949 compliance
  • Perform final unit inspection, verifying functionality and compliance to order specifications
  • Perform product and process audits
  • Maintain gages and gage certification systems
  • Review/disposition defective material (MRB)
  • Provide technical assistance to workplace associates
  • Initiate and lead problem solving/process improvement efforts
  • Participate in kaizen events
  • Support manufacturing operations
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes: SPC training, CNC experience, CAD experience, milling/turning, sheet metal fabrication, powder coat painting, and electrical/mechanical assembly preferred

Education:
  • Associates (or higher) degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or 3 years' experience as a quality technician in a manufacturing environment required
