Job Title: IT Testing Engineer
Work Location: Germantown, MD (Preferred local candidates, can be US-remote)

Job Description:

• As a Senior Test Analyst, youll be responsible to work on complex projects within the Transportation industry.
• You will be required to use your experience of software testing to analyze and apply concepts, practices and procedures.
• Requires experience in all phases of software development life cycle and testing methodologies. Experience should include testing of functional/non-functional scenarios in support of integrated multi-platform systems supporting high volume transaction processing across distributed data acquisition points.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills are required and the candidate must be capable of adapting to new technologies and changing environments, troubleshooting, documenting and presenting highly detailed analysis reports within transportation systems verification and validation projects in a fast paced environment.
  
  We need someone who can perform one or more of the following:
  
  Proven experience of multiple software development approaches / methodologies (Waterfall/Iterative/Agile) and Software test concepts
  Develops Test Approach, Test Plan, Test Schedule, Test Scenarios, and Test Cases based on requirements
  Write Test cases, executive tests and defect logging, working with Development and BAs etc.
  Be responsible for setting up and maintain test data
  Execute Test Cases and capture Test Results in Test Management Tool or client-specific format
  Provide test execution summary/update to test lead. Publishes test reports / status
  Participate in test status calls and other project discussions
  Manage the defect management process during the testing phase/effort. Documents issues/defects found in Defect Management Tool and follow up with Development team for the fix. Upon fix retest the functionality
  Participate in root cause analysis with development
  Highlight improvements, issues, risks. Coordinate resolution of issues related to activities impacting the progress of testing
  Coordinate with Onshore and Offshore teams
  Manage day-to-day implementation of GTS test process
  Participates in peer reviews, testing process improvements, and other testing related activities
  Demonstrate ability to diagnose, report, track defects, exposure to JIRA/JAMA/TFS/VSTS would be a plus
  Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
  
  Bachelors Degree or equivalent working experience
  Minimum of 5 Years of Quality Engineering and Testing experience
  Must have basic SQL skills
  Experienced in testing Web based / Siebel CRM / GUI-based / Self-Service Web/IVR applications (min 5 years), and databases (min 3 years) on multiple platforms and in multi-user environment
  Minimum of one year experience in validation of batch/log files
  Intermediate knowledge of Unix / Linux commands
  Intermediate Database knowledge to run DDL, DML, and other SQL commands
  Hands on experience in Tools: JIRA, JAMA or TFS, Azure Dev Ops, SharePoint, Putty, Selenium with JAVA, SQL Developer or PL/SQL Developer etc.
  Eligible to work in the U.S.A. for any employer
  Preferred Qualifications For Consideration:
  
  Nice to have experience in testing of Reports, Mobile App applications, ChatBots etc.
  Nice to have experience in UI Automation (Selenium) and Non UI automation
