To assist the buyer in accurately finalizing all details of inbound ordering and purchase order follow through.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\Confirm vendor receipt of purchase orders
\Match vendor price confirmation to purchase order expected pricing
\Add delivery charges to purchase orders
\Adjust PO quantities/prices delivery dates as instructed by buyer or vendor
\Ensure purchase orders are shipped and scheduled to deliver on time
\Track missing deliveries
\Communicate delivery issues, shortages, price discrepancies to buyer
\Assist in sample/special order process as needed
\Additional administrative/reporting tasks as directed by supervisors

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Understanding of the basic functions related to sales, buyer, and supply chain activities. Detail oriented with strong time management skills. Must be adaptable to change with positive attitude and able to work well under pressure. Intermediate Excel skills required. Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and good customer service skills. Must be able to work under tight deadlines and meet those deadlines. Must possess good negotiating and organizational skills. Must have working knowledge of PC's and computers including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). In other functions of food service preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in other functions of food service preferred but not necessary. Basic Excel skills required.
