Job Description

In recent years, GM Information Technology has successfully executed the largest IT transformation in the history of the automotive industry, fully insourcing what once was a nearly completely outsourced IT function. Today GM IT is a dynamic and fast paced organization that designs, develops and maintains all IT infrastructure, applications and solutions enabling GM's global operations. From designing and building the next generation of electric and other vehicles to developing a world-class GM experience for our dealers and customers, GM IT is driving real change in the most iconic automaker on the planet. Project Managers are responsible for the delivery of the output/product of the program, which will involve managing a portfolio of projects. Coordinate the teams who are working on the various projects.

Additional Job Description

Responsible for ensuring that all business deliverables are identified and accounted for in the project plan with
responsibility and due dates
- Continuously monitor and report on project status
- Provide guidance and support during execution of change management activities
- Manage the identification, documentation, and traceability of business requirements
- Investigate and document complex business processes
- Prepare presentations for various levels of leadership
- Developing tracking scorecards and metrics to illustrate status and ownership.
- Developing milestone reviews for the key milestones and ensures the team is on track to deliver.
- Track business resources and identify any shortages based on project plans
- Coordinate the input and approval of various project design and decision documents
- Assist Workstream Leaders in managing multiple efforts simultaneously across a broad range of functions, business and organizational units
- Monitor project progress and consolidate status reports
- Gain an understanding of program workstreams/projects to be able to assist in identification of issues and risks

- Working knowledge of PPM, Galileo and TFS.

- PMP certification is a plus, however, not required.

- Working knowledge of the GM IT EnAble process for SDLC.
