SUMMARY

The Project Logistics Manager (On-Call) supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Aerospace Medical Research Division (AAM-600). The successful candidate will support an evacuation study comprised of a series of on-site experimental sessions where subjects will be required to complete cabin simulation exercises conducted by the Cabin Research Section of CAMI. Will be responsible for oversight of the CHC staff and research subjects, research subject participation and logistics, post-event review, evaluation, and documentation of lessons learned, providing feedback to management and customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Leads, coordinates, and plans the evacuation study logistics project.

Responsible for ensuring on-site requirements and tasks associated with the project are executed according to the plan.

Leads the CHC project team to successful completion of the plan and provides direction as needed for CHC research subjects.

Responsible for the day of study session event activities.

Liaison with CAMI customer for CHC throughout the day of session and logistics project.

Coordinates the lessons learned meetings, develop, and report on findings and implement those results into future activities.

Routinely makes independent decisions associated with the planning and coordinating of the project.

Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance with all applicable rules (federal, state, local, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Code of Federal Regulations, Prime Contract requirements, etc.) for themselves and the company as a whole.Fosters an environment in which they will reportanyviolations or reasonably suspected violation of CNI policy, FAR, and/or CFR and are comfortable discussing the myriad compliance, conflict, FAR, CFR, etc. issues that arise during the performance of a government contract.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and a minimum of five (5) years of project management experience at Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center desirable or equivalent leadership experience.

Prior experience leading a deployment event strongly preferred.

Skilled proficiency using Microsoft Windows / Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).

Solid organizational skills relevant to carrying out day-to-day responsibilities.

Ability to learn and apply new knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
