We are a successful and growing construction company with an opening for a Project Engineer. Our focus is interesting and challenging heavy civil construction projects.
What You Will Be Doing Assisting with estimating and the preparation of proposals.
Procuring materials and services.
Processing submittals.
Verifying that delivered materials conform to the contract.
Writing requests for information (RFI's)
Contributing to the preparation and updating of manual, two-week and computerized, project-long schedules.
Checking and verifying that construction items such as concrete formwork, hoisting, haul route access, traffic control, erosion control, safety plans, etc. conform to the contract and approved submittals.
Documenting jobsite activities.
Preparing and submitting reports.
Communicating and coordinating with representatives of the owner, utilities, service organizations, testing agencies, suppliers, subcontractors, and others.
What You Need for this Position 2-3+ years of experience as Civil Engineer / Project Engineer for a Heavy Civil Contractor
Or
1 yr of exp and a Degree in Civil Engineering or a degree in construction or engineering
