Programs Abroad CoordinatorThe Programs Abroad Office (PAO) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UT) is seeking two collaborative and globally-engaged individuals to join our dynamic team as Programs Abroad Coordinators. As one of seven units housed within and supporting the Center for Global Engagement, PAO empowers UT’s Global Vision by establishing UT at the forefront of global education. Programs Abroad Coordinators are an integral part of this mission as they advocate on behalf of the value of cultural exchange and support students looking to enhance their Volunteer Experience internationally. This is an in office position based in Knoxville, TN. Position Summary: Programs Abroad Coordinators work closely with a variety of on-campus and international stakeholders to develop, renew, negotiate, and manage credit-bearing abroad programs, which includes shepherding programs through the proposal, budgeting and contracting phases. Coordinators serve as an advisor and liaison to students providing support as they identify, apply to, participate in and return from abroad programs which align with respective academic and professional goals. Each Program Abroad Coordinator is tasked with the comprehensive management of a robust portfolio of abroad programs while also leading specific global initiatives that support the operations of PAO along with our Volunteer community. At least one of the incumbents will specifically support UT’s current international exchange program portfolio and chiefly contribute to developing strategies which support new and existing exchanges.
