Summary:
Provides a variety of IT programming support for the developmental needs of the Biomedical Research Informatics Shared Resource (BRISR). Develops software programs and SQL queries to extract and analyze information from relational databases. Queries data for research purposes from clinical and hospital systems. Develops, debugs, documents, and maintains software programs that support BRISR operations. Defines and gathers data requirements for clinical and research information systems, and analyzes documenting files and reports. Assists as directed in the design and improvement of systems and methods. Monitors software program execution and initiates modifications as needed.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in programming of mainframe or PC information systems as it relates to technology used at the organization.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

The preferred candidate will have experience with use of AWS services, maintenance of data pipelines, general web development, expertise in JavaScript and Python, R programming experience, experience working in a team setting, SQL for complex querying.
