Job Summary
The Program Manager (PM) will work with a global new product development team responsible for modular data center infrastructures to coordinate the efforts of engineering, product management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, service, marketing, sales, and other cross functional groups to optimize time to market while monitoring project and product cost, schedule and resources.

PM is responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple related projects, over cross functional groups, directed toward strategic business and other organizational objectives. The PM is responsible for each cross functional group's project, which rolls up to the overall project deliverables. These projects contain complex activities that may span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The PM must build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization. PM must maintain continuous alignment of project scope with strategic business objectives and make recommendations to modify the project to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading, planning, execution, and completion of large, complex, global projects. Monitors and controls project activities from initiation through delivery.
  • Accountable for Project Management planning and execution tasks, including, but not limited to, scope, scheduling, budgeting, costing, resource, risk and issue management.
  • Continuously assesses project health, anticipating risk and developing effective mitigation plans that maintain committed project plan.
  • Develops and manages project recovery plans when necessary, minimizing impact to project commitments.
  • Collects and analyzes data required to create effective written status reports. Creates and delivers effective written and verbal project status reports.
  • Proactively engages stakeholders, providing timely, relevant, and transparent project status.
  • Identifies task dependencies as they arise and acts to ensure that project schedule is unimpeded by dependencies.
  • Provide executive-level program updates to Delaware Plant and Global Solutions Management Team.
  • Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path.
  • Develop reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Identify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip.
  • Identify key risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Work with management of different operating functions to identify and obtain required resources to adequately staff project.
  • Interacts with all levels of management, team members, and stakeholders. Builds cohesive teams by partnering and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure efficient success of projects. Collaboratively engages and leads diverse teams and team members.
  • Directs activities of project team members and balances workload of the team, ensuring that both individual and group objectives are met.
  • Contributes to development of processes when they are needed by coordinating collaboration of design and manufacturing execution with applicable Stakeholders.
  • Responsible that the program is following the NPDP (New Product Develop Process) and reporting the progress to the NPDP for Delaware Plant.
    • Responsible that the following elements are implemented at the department project and program level:
      • Project Charter
      • Project Plan
      • Project Task Estimations
      • Project Schedule with Critical Path
      • Systems load plan (MRP, PLM, MCAD, etc.)
      • Resource Allocation
      • Risk Management
      • Requirements Management
  • Conduct lessons learned meetings at the end projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering field (electrical, mechanical, industrial) preferred.
  • Five years' progressive experience leading teams or projects across multiple functions including manufacturing and supply chain.
  • 3+ years in a full cycle project management role
  • Experience managing multiple large-scale projects from inception to closure.
  • Experience in AC Power products and/or commercial building construction (data center construction preferred)
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong Project Planning & Organizational Skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills; can adjust presentation to the audience level. Comfortable presenting to small and large groups at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task, manages competing priorities, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Must be highly effective at leading people and facilitating rapid change in a consistent and structured manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate process development and management practices.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can initiate action and follow through with well-defined solutions and action plans.
  • Working knowledge of project management technologies, and tools such as (Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Service Now, Plan View).
  • Proven ability to lead others to achieve common goals and to accomplish tasks.
  • Process and results oriented; experience working with multifaceted/multifunctional teams.
