The research for this position will will include:
    The characterization and use of innovative nanomaterials for delivery of nanoparticles and liposomes in brain and breast tumors. Modification of extracellular vesicles and cells for drug deliveryMechanisms of immune interactions of drug carriers
 This position is ideal for candidates seeking to strengthen their laboratory experience and build a publication record Examples of Work Performed
  • Conducts experiments and analyses supporting a variety of research projects
  • Utilizes a wide breadth of techniques to collect data, including:
  • Micrcoscopy
  • Flow cytometry
  • ELISA
  • Cytokine assays
  • Cell culture assays
  • Compiles and records observed experimental results, analyzes and interprets data, and documents results.
  • Collaborates with the principal investigator and other research group members to review scientific literature and develop experimental protocols.
  • Assists with writing sections of research proposal documents for grants purposes, documents lab results and assists with the preparation of manuscripts, such as preparing graphs and charts, for publication in scientific journals.
  • Provides general laboratory administration, such as maintaining lab records, general lab clean up, ordering lab supplies, completing requisition forms, processing financial transactions, and filing.

    Qualifications
    Minimum Requirements
      A bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering or a closely related field.Recent laboratory research experience
    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with biology, molecular biology and/or immunological assays (RT-PCR, cytotoxicity, western blotting, flow cytometry, ELISA, cytokine assays).
    • Experience with nanoparticles and drug delivery is a plus
    • Experience with conjugation/organic chemistry is a plus
