Position Summary:

Provide support to students and act as a success coach.

Reporting Relationship:

Direct reporting relationship to the Perkins and PATH grant manager

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Provide support to students in subject matter via group and/or individual tutoring.2. Acts as a support coach to assigned cohort.3. Meet with cohort a minimum of two (2) hours virtually every week and as needed.4. Align academic support with faculty lectures and assigned text book.5. Refer students to lab tutor as needed.6. Meet with individual students as needed for academic tutoring or success coaching.7. Collect data as required by the grant or director of the nursing program.8. Identify needed wrap around support services and reports to the Perkins and PATH grant manager.9. Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in discipline or a recent graduate of Prairie State's nursing program.2. Experience with virtual meetings.3. Effective interpersonal communication skills.4. Ability to relate to a diverse student body

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience teaching or tutoring at a community college.

Salary:

$40/hr.
