Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Production Team Lead is to oversee all areas of operations and equipment within the Mill. The successful candidate has a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the processes involved in their functional units and is charged with the responsibility of leading team efforts, most importantly all safety efforts. Below is a list of basic job functions:
Maintain a safe work environment through leadership, training, and compliance to any and all company, state, and federal policies/procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement projects as well as analyze practices and procedures in orderto increase efficiency in safety, quality, and production
Run mill equipment
Must be able to perform maintenance including PM's on the equipment.
Interpret production documents
Must be able to work weekends and extended shifts as needed
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodationSafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership experience is preferred.
