We are looking for a Production Manager, Clinical Kitting to join our team in Germantown, MD. This role is responsible for operational planning, strategy, quality, and delivery of Clinical Trial Kits for distribution within the US and Abroad. Partners closely with inventory management and global shipping & logistics teams to ensure client and business needs are achieved for U.S Labs. What The Job Entails:

  • Plan, coordinate and oversee all kitting activities; including staff required to manage on-going clinical trials; ensuring deliverables are met on-time and error-free
  • Advise Project Managers and Medical Writers on suggested kit components
  • Work with Proposals and Finance to ensure costs for kitting activities are within budget
  • Design and redesign (as needed) kitting procedures and associated paperwork for an effective, streamlined process with impeccable quality
  • Provide short- and long-term kit forecasting and build schedules for all projects
  • Ensure all supplies are ordered within the specified timeframe
  • Maximize utilization of kit components across multiple projects
  • Track expiration dates for supplies and implement mitigation for contents near or at expiry
  • Provide strategic support for growing the kit production team
  • Identify and implement systems and tools consistent with current best practices
  • Track kit production performance metrics
  • Secure required licenses and/or permits for product shipping requirements as necessary
  • Participate in internal and external calls to support projects as necessary
  • Lead investigations and documentation of any non-compliance involving kit production
  • Ensure kit production area is compliant to SOPs, regulated standards, quality, and safety
  • Serve as a point of escalation to provide guidance to staff and/or directly resolve issues
  • Actively participate and support process improvement initiatives
  • Carry out other duties and projects, as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Kit Production
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing team members
