Production LeadPosition Summary

JOB DUTIES:

1. Performs in relief all duties of and provides daily operational support for both the automated continuous batch confectionary cooking system and the integrated starch molding line (Process Operator Position)
2. Relieves and assists with other positions as necessary
3. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all positions and procedures in the manufacturing operation
4. Constantly monitors the interface of all procedures in the manufacturing process making decisions in the absence of supervision to prioritize activities and address issues
5. Provides training for all positions in the manufacturing process
6. Completes and/or audits records on related productivity, quality and all assigned records in relief of supervision
7. Adheres to proper safety practices and procedures and accountable for departmental compliance

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate required, post high school maintenance related coursework preferred. Reading, writing, mathematical and keyboard control skills are required. Work experience/training in the operation of related food manufacturing equipment with demonstrated leadership skills will receive preference. Must be able to frequently lift and handle a minimum of 50 pounds and perform work at all levels of reach from standing through stooping positions. Able to train on 1st shift and work overtime/weekends as required. Must furnish own hand tools.
