Position Purpose:
Responsible for heat-treating brake shoes.
Hourly Pay Range: $15.50 - $18.00
Essential Functions:
- Manually loads parts into the fixture and verifies quality of parts
- Maintain Environmental, Health & Safety standards in the workplace
Education and Training
- Keeps work area clean at all times
- Works in a safe manner at all times
- Other job duties may be assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Ability to work well with others
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift 15lbs repeatedly at shoulder height or above
- Must be able stand continuously for 8 -12 hrs
- Ability to bend, twist and lift repetitively
- Demonstrates dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations
Environmental Conditions
- Ear and Eye protection required at all times in production areas
- Exposure to noisy work environment
- Exposure to hot steel
- Exposure to fumes
- Exposure to hot and humid conditions
- Exposure to welding arc
- Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water
- Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards are required at all times
