Eurofins Discovery is searching for an experienced, and energetic marketing professional with in-depth knowledge of immunology, oncology and cell-based assays in drug discovery. The successful candidate should demonstrate an understanding of the drug discovery industry, and current trends in target based and phenotypic screening throughout the drug discovery and development pipeline.

The position supports the Translational Biology business line including BioMAP, OncoPanel, Translational Cell Models and Biomarker platforms. The product manager will provide leadership in the development of commercial services, portfolio lifecycle management, business development, and service promotion, pricing, and sales support objectives. The candidate must demonstrate an understanding of biological applications and experience with portfolio management of phenotypic services used in drug discovery.

• Defines and leads marketing activities for the portfolio including strategy, branding, messaging, and positioning within comprehensive marketing campaigns to support the customer experience and business development objectives
• Interacts with clients, business development partners, and thought leaders cross-functionally with sales, operations, and management demonstrating results in y/y growth of the portfolio
• Collaborates with regional marketing services and leads website and ecommerce initiatives to ensure content is managed and effectively presented within competitive market
• Develop plans to position portfolio to appropriate customer segments, provide feedback on competitive landscape, analyze market opportunities and customer needs to define new opportunities and provide input to new product development
• Manages product lifecycle and supports innovation projects within the portfolio. Develops go-to market launch and communication strategy; executes related tactical plan and reports related ROI metrics of assigned portfolio
• Assemble data and prepare compelling and accurate technical slide presentations, case studies, scientific posters and white papers for use in marketing and sales activities
• Maintains close interaction with sales organizations through training and active participation in the sales process, including customer visits, pricing tactics, and customer support
• Provides strategic road map for portfolio and recommends new products and services to the business team as part of revenue growth tactics and strategies. Evaluate value proposition of new technologies, and services
• Assist in long-term planning and product diversification; including evaluation of potential license opportunities, potential investments & strategic partnerships
• Establish and document processes to support marketing Discovery Services (EDS) globally
• Performs quantitative and qualitative market analysis, monitors industry trends and competitive landscape with the ability to translate customer insights into strategic and tactical marketing plans
• Supports pricing activities, RFPs, client contracted pricing and analysis of cost of goods sold
  

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate Possess:

• Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline
• International business experience
• Experience conducting business analytics and creating market analysis reports
• Demonstrated experience working within a life science or pharma market, or CRO
• Demonstrated experience launching innovation to commercial state
• Prior experience working in a scientific laboratory or with scientific teams
• Small team leadership and project management
• Demonstrated skills in product management and marketing life science solutions
• Strong business acumen, organization and ability to work across a matrixed organization
• Ability to understand and translate customers' needs into future product development
• Ability to work independently with little oversight and take initiative in strategic teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload to drive and achieve desired objectives
• Ability to build business case and innovation plans to meet business line goals
• Ability to manage website, ecommerce and social media platforms
• Ability to represent EDS services at external events (e.g. tradeshows, client visits)
• Results orientated and drives continuous improvement
• Demonstrates solid leadership skills and ability to gain consensus and influence process
• Technical background in cell biology, oncology, translational medicine, immunology, safety pharmacology, ADME, and/or toxicity preclinical studies as related to drug discovery preferred
• Experience with technologies and instrument platforms commonly used in drug discovery

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• M.B.A or B.A in Business Management, Marketing or related degree
• 3+ years' experience in product management or marketing role
• Demonstrated knowledge of the drug discovery market and customer segments
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, and strong technical writing experience
• Demonstrated ability to generate and polish technical content to support sales training, industry white papers, scientific posters and experience in webpage design.
• Experience supporting large portfolio of products or services and pricing activities
• Demonstrated leadership and project management experience
