What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Category Director, this Product Manager will join OXO's product development team. In this role, you will have complete responsibility for bringing products from concept through production for the Food Storage category. You will have the opportunity to work with several top product design firms, internal engineers and graphic designers, retail buyers, as well as manufacturing partners in Asia.

You will also assist the Category Director with a tactical plan by finding opportunities and leading a new product pipeline. This person is someone who is self-directed, creative, has an eye for detail, and a passion for design.

  • Bring new products to market including market research, product research, product testing, pricing, competitive analysis, and timeline management.
  • Build and handle schedules and timelines for new product development. Handle time spent on projects by other departments. Responsible for consistent follow-ups to ensure that tasks are completed, and breakthroughs are reached, as needed.
  • Meet with design firms to discuss products in development and provide input on design and concept direction with regards to pricing concerns and feature set requirements.
  • Partner with factories via email regarding quoting opportunities and settle pricing at various points in the product development cycle for both new and existing products.
  • Responsible ongoing product lifecycle for products within assigned categories.
  • Mentor the Marketing Assistant and new team members.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work as a part of a team, building positive relationships with internal and external resources
  • Work in a self-directed, results-oriented environment
  • Good project management skills
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years as a Product Manager or 5+ years of related experience in an equivalent field
  • Strong analysis skills with product lines and product line planning, including margins, business trends, market segmentation, driven research and trends, market research, and opportunity assessment
  • Hands-on research, product evaluation, testing, and user-validation skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Oracle and/or Agile
  • Hard goods experience
