Product Manager responsible for consumer experiences on PayPal's flagship Checkout product.

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and evolve the vision for your product(s) within the Checkout & Billing portfolio
  • Define project goals and expected outcomes to help achieve our product portfolio's objectives and key results (OKRs)
  • Inclusively determine the product roadmap, seeking input from Design, Engineering, Business Analytics, Marketing, Program Management, Risk and Legal, as well as from related product teams and senior management
  • Work with an Agile scrum team to define detailed requirements, write user stories, prioritize the backlog, define acceptance criteria and help test the quality of deliverables
  • Champion a strong bias towards action and a culture of iteration, continuously learning and improving our end-to-end customer experiences and results
  • Consistently focus the team on outcomes and achieving its goals
  • Work with Business Analytics to define and evaluate experiments, ramps and launches, as well as continually identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues and other PMs
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer needs in paying for online purchases, including their shopping behavior, check-out experience, and post-transaction expectations
  • Stay current on the competitive landscape and innovations in the industry
  • Represent the team and its strategy with stakeholders across the company, including with leadership

Required Skills:
  • 3-5 years of Product Management or comparable experience with a focus on consumer internet products; payments or e-commerce experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance in both quantitative and qualitative fields; MBA preferred
  • Strong product thinking and ability to advocate for the best customer experience
  • Ability to translate product needs into technical requirements, understand technology dependencies, and discuss technical trade-offs with Engineering
  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to drive and influence complex decision-making with various stakeholders and build consensus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues in a concise and simple fashion, and tailor to different audiences
  • Robust problem-solving ability, breaking down complex challenges to find solutions
  • Highly comfortable with leveraging data to generate insights and inform decisions
  • Some travel required to San Jose and potentially other PayPal offices
  • Occasional evening meetings required with colleagues in distant time zones
