POSITION SUMMARY

Manage, lead and develop the creation of an internal service organization within Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc (MEPPI) focusing on customer solutions in the utility and power industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead the creation of a Services Center of Excellence by focusing on Business Development and Research of new areas that align with growth and development of a new product offering:

  • Create a new Services Center of Excellence within MEPPI. This new organization created within the company structure will be independent of the operating divisions and chartered with growing services sales.
  • Consult, coach and provide services subject matter expertise to Divisions to identify and capture more opportunities to provide value-added services to our customers.
  • Collaborate with Divisions to create, conduct and then analyze the findings of face-to-face conversations with customer executives within potential strategic accounts.
  • Direct Marketing Dept. in updating the MEPPI web to highlight Services and showcase Service-related solutions.
  • Build out template and marketing/sales tools that articulate common components of all MEPPI services but allow for easy tailoring for each division (website, selling tool kits, use cases, brochures, contract templates, etc.).
  • Contract with a training partner to deliver training tailored to the realities of MEPPI sales and services personnel.
  • Facilitate quarterly Services Business Reviews with Divisions and/or Staff on progress
  • Confer with Division management and Company staff to evolve business objectives, to develop organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for launching and executing the Plan.
  • Manage direct reports according to Company policies and procedures to effectively achieve Company and department objectives. Develop employees by training, cross-training, and providing continuing education opportunities. Conduct annual performance reviews and provide input for salary decisions.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the MEPPI by conducting business with outside contacts and MEPPI divisions in a timely and cooperative manner.
  • Know MEPPI's Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and their impact in the workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years of business-to-business product service or product line management experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience building a Service Organization from the ground up.
  • Strong influencing skills with a track record of working with senior managers outside of their department in a collaborative manner.
  • Ability to read, understand and negotiate contracts and proposal language and communicate effectively with customers, employees and suppliers to contract closure ad execution.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting and reporting.
  • Experience with professional turnkey organizations used to building complex projects and executing with large professional services teams.
  • Hands-on experience in transitioning an organization over time from product-centric to services-led
  • Advanced knowledge and experience related to the servicing and repair of infrastructure capital equipment.
