We are seeking far and wide for that select handful of exceptional world-class problem solvers with a passion for data insights and a relentless execution focus. The selected candidate for this role will provide actionable insights to help create best in class checkout experience for PayPal's consumers.

About You:

  • You believe in data-driven decisions and use data to answer business questions
  • You are hyper-analytical, intellectually honest, and extremely passionate about data and testing (e.g., A/B experimentation)
  • You are a highly motivated, result-oriented, self-starter, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and can deliver successful results with minimal guidance
  • You are energized, curious, structured in your thought process, and a team player

The Role:

  • Partner with stakeholders (e.g., product, engineering, Finance) on user growth to build and help PayPal improve acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Define KPIs to measure product and initiative performances.
  • Conduct rigorous exploratory data analysis, create executive-facing automated dashboards and collaborate on building business cases that drive decision-making and product roadmap prioritization
  • Synthesize large volumes of data with attention to granular details and present insights and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Define and cultivate best practices in analytics instrumentation and experimentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing large, multi-dimensional data sets and synthesizing insights into actionable solutions
  • Fluent in SQL, Excel, and visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlikview
  • Experience with a statistical programming language like R or Python
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to influence cross-functional teams
  • Prior work experience in a product analytics space would be highly valued

New York City Only : The pay range for this position is as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary. All PayPal employees are shareholders in our Company, so equity is part of our total compensation plan. This role is also eligible for health insurance, stock purchase plans, retirement savings benefits, stock awards, life insurance and disability benefits, and paid time off for sick leave, parental leave, vacation and PTO. New York City Salary in USD: $82195 - $101535
