CUMULUS MEDIA | Westwood One is looking for a dynamic, full-time member for our Shows team with at least four- years' experience as Producer-Researcher-Writer. Applicants must have a dedicated work ethic, be immersed in social media, a strong background in audio production and copy/script writing. You'll be working with our team to execute the on-air production of the daily show and features/projects for web, podcast, social media content and video postings.

The Producer - Researcher - Writer organizes, conceptualizes, and develops topics, features, and guests for the Zach Sang Show that represents the lifestyle and interests of the show's listeners. They also partner with the show's hosts, and others to create engaging content, increase listenership, and enhance subscriber satisfaction and passion. The producer is responsible for the daily technical operation of the show as well as working with the show team to ensure social platforms are relevant and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform essential research of specific pop culture trending topics/content for on-air, video, podcast, website, and social platforms
  • Create written bullet points, stories, and storyboards for use as production script for on-air, video, podcast, website, and social platforms
  • Produce, edit, and upload all show content for on-air to Enco System and show's web distribution.
  • Collaborate and provide daily prep, on-air show rundown and scripts to host
  • Coordinate with host the guest schedule of interviews for on-air, video, podcast, website, and social platforms
  • Write copy/scripts for on-air show, video, and social platform imaging
  • Incorporate advertiser in-content messaging for use on-air, in videos, podcast and social messaging
  • Maintain master audio for archive library
  • Upload produced show to Enco and website for the on-air radio show
  • Manage and grow the show's brand through video, social and podcast
  • Book and pre-interview guests
  • Create and maximize revenue opportunities
  • Gives direction to presenters, content providers, assistants, and other crew members
  • Tactical planning for future shows, immediate opportunities, artist/celebrity interviews

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • 4 years audio, radio, video production experience
  • Minimum Associate Degree or Equivalent Work experience, prefer Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • Tolerance for stress and tight timelines, including ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of music (Stratus) programs
  • Skills in VoxPro, Adobe Audition, Enco System and as board operator
  • Experience with upload of audio, video, text and graphics to website, and YouTube
  • Experience with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and all social media platforms
  • Vast knowledge of pop entertainment culture and lifestyle and how they relate to the station's target demo
  • Ability to work with creative individuals as part of a team, excellent leadership skills
  • Have and build great relationships in the music / entertainment community with a deep contact list
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and social networking
  • Strong knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations
  • Must be flexible with work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
