JOB DESCRIPTION

Knowledge of ingredients and markets to assess risks, volatility and sustainability of supply to support production and sales order needs. Strong negotiation skills to drive results around quality, spot pricing, contract pricing, payment and logistical terms as well as both domestically and imported ingredients. Strong Excel and Math Skills to support daily and monthly reporting around pricing, costing, inventory, forecasting, cost management, category review and inflationary price risks. Min of 5 year's experience buying ingredients. Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with key suppliers. Experience with MRP/ERP systems (D365 a plus). Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills. Highly organized. Ability to multi-task and make decisions. Strong sense of urgency and follow up.

Replenishment and strategic sourcing and overall management of assigned categories. Works in liaison with key stakeholders in ingredient sourcing initiatives including new and alternate sourcing. Ability to assess, identify and mitigate risks to the business and works to establish plans around continuity of supply. Establish and maintain strong strategic supplier partnerships. Follows the procurement process and discipline established for the department. Attends trade shows, seminars and continuing education courses as needed. Manage raw material costs and communication to the business.
