Description: Mortgage Processor

We are currently seeking a Mortgage Processor. The ideal candidate will be the single point of contact for borrowers/brokers once the Letter of Intent has been signed. The Processor is responsible for timely, processing and closing of the loan.


  • Process multiple files at the same time at different stages from the approval process to underwriting approval and closing.
  • Effectively Manage a pipeline based on established key performance indicators.
  • Establish rapport with brokers/borrowers and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Represent the borrower/broker's side when dealing with departments and be able to respond with in-depth knowledge to the borrower/broker on any issues, which cannot be resolved in their favor.
  • Order and review all required third party reports.
  • Verify all documents and conditions have been met prior to underwriting submissions.
  • Collaborate with Underwriter, Paralegal and Closer to resolve all loan level file issues to get the loan to final approval, closing or denial of the loan.
  • Manage to daily, weekly, monthly production goals, while ensuring the level of expected service, quality and integrity of the loans are maintained.
  • Provide weekly, bi-weekly report to the Sales Team and Manger to include loan status and projections.
  • Effectively communicate loan milestones or delays to the both internal and external team members. Responsible for data inputs and integrity prior to loan submission to Underwriting. This includes updating loan status and events (documentation status, dates,etc) with the anticipation of closing each loan within 45-50 days.
  • Follow up with the Underwriting and Closing Team to insure that loan issues are resolved in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under moderate to no supervision.
  • Maintains current knowledge of guidelines and loan programs.
  • Requests, organizes and processes loan documentation and independently submits files to UW based on established key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Leverage pipeline reports to effectively manage loans, prioritize daily workflow and monitor dashboard assignments.


  • Strong organizational and attention to detail required handling large volumes of work associated with each transaction.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.


  • Associate's Degree in business, economics, finance or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of residential and/or commercial processing experience preferred.
