Martin Marietta Magnesia Specialties, LLC, a leading U.S. manufacturer of magnesia-based products, seeksapart-timechemical engineering internto join their applications facilityin Glen Burnie, Maryland.
This position is responsible forassisting in preparingequipment forfield trials of magnesium hydroxide productsat industrial and municipal plantsthroughout the U.S.and Canada. Additional responsibilities includeremotecustomer support;preparation of technical proposals for magnesium hydroxide applications in the areas of wastewater treatment, pulp bleaching,air emissionsscrubbing, and other industrial applications; hands-on assembly of trial equipment; and facility maintenance.
Pursuing aBachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent education.
Good mechanical aptitude and hands-onequipment experienceare preferred. Knowledgeinwastewater treatment, pulp bleaching, orair emissionsscrubbingis a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Position is part-time requiring up to 8 hours per week.
