Novelis Oswego has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer! The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for process engineering/metallurgy within an aluminium manufacturing facility.

• Superior customer service skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
• Personal traits should include the ability to utilize human relation skills to motivate, train, understand, and develop others to attain the objectives
• Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with employees through follow-up, understanding their needs and fostering a collaborative relationship
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload; must be able to manage multiple tasks at once without sacrificing attention to detail
• Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Solid computer skills with software applications proficiency, including Microsoft Office. Ability to learn new software programs quickly
• Must also possess leadership skills to direct, lead and develop other personnel to accomplish personal, plant and corporate objectives

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field is required
• A Bachelor's Degree in Material Science/Metallurgy is preferred
• Preferred experience in relevant aluminum metallurgical assignments of increasing complexity and magnitude

Location Profile

Novelis' Oswego facility is located on Lake Ontario in north-central New York and employs approximately 1100 people. The Oswego site produces more than a billion pounds of high-quality aluminum sheet each year in order to serve our customers in the automotive beverage can and specialty markets.
