Regeneron's Bioreactor Development group, located in Tarrytown, NY and which scales-up Cell Culture processes for our Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development (PMPD) organization at the company, is are seeking a Process Development Associate I. In this role you will be primarily involved in operating and helping maintain large-scale bioreactors.

A Typical Day in the Role of a Process Development Associate I Might Look Like:

  • Cultivation of mammalian cells using aseptic technique in bench and pilot scale bioreactors for the production of monoclonal antibodies.
  • Sterilization, sanitization, and operation of bench and pilot scale bioreactors
  • Daily sampling of bench and pilot scale bioreactors
  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and acts as authority on various lab equipment
  • Hydrates and maintains array of medium and buffer inventory
  • Supports technology development and improvement initiatives. Identifies value adding opportunities for improvement and proposes potential solutions.
  • Production of various nonclinical reagents in support of Regeneron's Research and Development activities.
  • Executes experiments/projects and analyzes data alone or in collaboration with others
  • Responsible for maintaining scientifically current (state of the art) laboratory environment and/or product inventory. Maintains accurate and complete records consistent with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Has cross-functional knowledge and skills, contributes within his/her own functional area.

This role requires a BS in a Scientific field with 0-2 yrs experience. Versatility and passion to work hands-on with equipment required. Work in this area will occasionally require lifting objects up to 60 lbs. This role will sometimes require weekend work and off hours.
