West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher with the School of Phamacy (Pharmaceutical Systems amd Policy).

About the Opportunity

Our team carries out research in behavioral science and health outcomes research. We develop innovative studies to improve cancer outcomes. We are experienced in health disparities and are multidisciplinary team. Our projects are ambitious and challenging, and we provide the flexibility to follow your creativity and encourage a healthy work/life balance. Potential intellectual property opportunities.

Candidates with a strong background in primary data collection (e.g., surveys, questionnaires) are encouraged to apply. Experience in behavioral interventions would be desirable but is not required. The research is funded by the American Cancer Society.

What you’ll do:
  • Work on an intervention to promote sun safety.
  • Collaborate with principal investigators at WVU and community pharmacists, and requires the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Present research at both international and local conferences and submit in peer-reviewed journals.


Qualifications

  • PhD or related doctoral degree in social science, public health, or pharmacy administration required.
  • Experience in working with the public.
  • Experience in study design.
  • Experience in conducting interventions or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work with the rural Appalachian population and interdisciplinary team.
