RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Payroll Staff Accountant.Responsibilities:

• In this role, the Payroll Staff Accountant is responsible for training all New Hires on entering timesheets, monitoring data submitted and approved for uploads into the payroll system
• Acts as an administrator in the ERP; Troubleshoots timesheet- and payroll-related processes and maintains timesheet and payroll data in system. Includes creating new employee profiles in the ERP and updating employee profiles based on changes to job status, roles, and lines of reporting
• Enters codes and work orders in UKG/Ultipro and maintaining data congruity between the ERP and UKG/Ultipro systems
• Provides user support for UKG/Ultipro, including resetting passwords, troubleshooting and responding to payroll system related inquires using discretion and effective oral and written communication
• The Payroll Staff Accountant works closely with HR to retrieve employees LOA, tax paperwork, salary changes, allowances updates, wire and direct deposit forms for payroll input
• Performs calculations of pay for overtime, supplemental pay, retroactive pay, and advance repayment, and separated employee payouts in accordance with A/V policies and federal and state laws. Including conducting off cycle payroll processing when required
• Reconciles allowances paid for expatriate and TCN employees according to US DSSR rules, verifying that payroll records and tax reporting for allowance-related payments made on behalf of employees vouch and agree to the GL records and supporting documentation for those payments
• As a Payroll Staff Accountant, this role plays a key role in supporting expatriate and TCN employee allowance payment processing and proper allocation of payments by time period

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business field
• Strong MS Excel experience
