Under the general direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist provides financial and administrative support to The Home. This position is hybrid-remote. You will be expected to come to the office at least once weekly.

Essential Functions

  • Perform and process the bi-weekly payroll up to 1000+ employees within the US ensuring to meet the payroll deadlines.
  • Initiate the set-up process of payroll's deductions including garnishment, child support while maintaining a review process to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and reconcile special reporting in the payroll system (UKG-BI) for distribution of multiple departments within the organization.
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors by preparing the reporting portfolio packages; maintain an effective internal controls environment.
  • Interact and provide support to the company's employees at all level.
  • Assist in the quarterly and year-end 941-payroll taxes withholdings & W2 reconciliations.
  • Generate and prepare the reports Earned Time-off Accrual-PTO and calculate accordingly while maintaining proper communications with the HR/Benefits & HRIS departments.
  • Maintain accuracy and take ownership responsibility of full payroll cycle processing.
  • Respond to employee's inquiries via-Outlook Payroll Inbox on a time manner for all payroll related to payroll & earned time accrual-PTO aspects.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting as needed.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 1 to 2 years of relative experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and internet skills with the ability to learn new software applications. Microsoft Dynamics SL experience a Plus.
