PAINT STAFF

Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Paint Staff in the Facilities Management Department.
Duties include, but are not limited to:· Prepare painting surfaces;· Mix, match, and apply paints and other finishes to various surfaces;· Move furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project;· Calculate the amount of materials and time required for a project;· Select appropriate equipment and supplies from vendors as needed; and· Assist superintendent with painting of athletic practice fields and playing fields
Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of three (3) years painting experience. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must have working knowledge and understanding of operation of equipment used in paint application.

Trades Specialist IV (KC40/61121945/FTE-S01001P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05. Salary range: $37,860.00 (minimum) - $53,957.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, and Friday, 6:30 am to 12:00 pm. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years experience in painting.

Licensure and/or Certification:

Possess and maintain valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must have working knowledge and understanding of operation of equipment used in paint application.
